Expedition prep with Bridget and David

Last year, Bridget Goldsmith and David Trump spent 12 months travelling in a Land Rover Defender 300 Tdi from Somerset to South Africa – their route being very similar to that of Bhubesi Pride’s, albeit taken at a more leisurely pace!!

Having spent two hours with the couple this afternoon, they were able to impart invaluable information regarding: vehicle preparation (with an emphasis on implementing some brilliant security measures); equipment (the kelly kettle was a big hit on their trip); country by country cost breakdowns; border crossing contacts; fixer contacts for added safety (for Libya and Sudan); carnet tips; GPS essentials… A massive help! It’s fantastic that David and Bridget have done the trip so recently, their advise and support will be hugely beneficial to the team over the course of this year!
