Ryan Jones’ Paralympics role begins

Ryan Jones, PE Teacher and current ‘Link Coordinator’ at The Gateway Academy in Essex (one of Bhubesi Pride’s eight UK partner schools forming a link with a school in Uganda, Naranbhai Primary), has this week been preparing to support competing athletes at London’s 2012 Paralympic Games.

“First day at Mayesbrook Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby Training venue yesterday, even got to test out the brand new surface before the National teams and played against a member of the Team GB Sydney 2000 squad!”

Speaking about wheelchair rugby, having given it a go prior to the tournament beginning, and one of the sports he’s assisting, Ryan added:

“It was brilliant, I loved it, think it’s a great game that anybody can play!”
