Ryan Jones: A big “thank you”…

Monday, 10.Dec.2012

Expedition Coaching Team Member and 2013’s Rugby Programme Coordinator, Ryan Jones, would like to take this opportunity – during the festive period – to recognise and thank the kind contributions of his sponsors!

‘Jonesy’ has been able to raise the funds to take part in the 2013 mission thanks to some fantastic fundraising from various sources.

Firstly, Jonesy has his own personal sponsor, The Ski Company. Based in many locations, their true home is Torgon in Switzerland. Jonesy has a long-standing relationship with Mr Gerry Shirt who assists Bhubesi Pride’s partner school, The Gateway Academy, with their annual School Ski Trip.

“I cannot recommend The Ski Company enough, from large School parties to small group bookings the service and value for money is phenomenal!”

Secondly Peter Murray [pictured inset, below] at the Ormiston Trust has been a key supporter of the Gateway Academy’s involvement with Bhubesi Pride and has contributed £500 from its funds in support of Ryan’s 2013 role.

Ormiston Trust is a national charity that aims to improve the life-chances of children and young people so they can fulfill their potential and lead happy and productive adult lives.

Students at the Gateway Academy have raised £354 at a recent non-uniform day for Mr Jones. The students are extremely supportive of the project and wish him all the best in Africa!

The Gateway Academy Parent and Staff Association raised £300 at a race night.

“The PSA are an essential and valued part of Academy life and their events are also great fun!”
