BPF welcomes Operations Director, Oliver Munns
Joining the charity in an official capacity, Bhubesi Pride Foundation is thrilled to announce its new – and first – Operations Director, Oliver Munns.
Oliver, who is based in London, was educated at Dulwich College and read economics at the University of Cambridge. Between January and July this year, Oliver volunteered with Bhubesi Pride in Africa, having been selected for the 2014 team. His involvement saw him part of the entire expedition, starting at Murrayfield Stadium, Scotland, and concluding five months later in Cape Town, South Africa.
“Oliver brought an exceptional level of enthusiasm and creativity to his participation during this year’s project, personally coaching at more than fifteen schools and community centres. Oliver’s energy never dipped and he relished every opportunity open to him. He conducted adult coach education sessions with aplomb – a big highlight for me – and I will never forget the way he successfully engaged large numbers of pupils at Oanob Primary School in Namibia; a terrific effort!
Oliver now joins the charity in a range of key capacities from strategic planning to initiating valuable partnerships and managing stakeholders, as well as taking the lead role in running 2015’s expedition in Africa. I am absolutely thrilled to not only welcome Oliver to the Foundation, to work together and drive the charity forwards, but to also provide him with a dynamic platform upon which to maximise his many great strengths and develop his eclectic mix of skills”.

To welcome Oliver to the charity, we’ve produced a short video which follows him on a few recent activities in the UK. We also get his thoughts on experiences gained so far, looking ahead to next year. (There’s another video in this playlist, showcasing a “day in the life” of Oliver from his 2014 trip, put together by team colleague Kristina):
