Bhubesi Pride leads team-oriented rugby and community development expeditions through ten African countries every year, between January and July. We welcome applications from committed, enthusiastic, dynamic individuals from all over the world, willing to volunteer their time and expertise, while taking part in a truly unique adventure.

Bhubesi Pride invites male and female applicants, aged 18 and over, and we operate a rolling application and selection process. You’ll know within one week if your application will progress to the next stage, and in less than a month if you’re offered a place on one of Bhubesi Pride’s projects.

  • Complete 15,000km, 5-6 month overland expedition through Africa (Jan – July)
  • Over 30 schools, 10 countries, 3,000 pupils and local staff
  • Lead Bhubesi Pride’s rugby coaching and community development programme
  • Share your adventure with friends and family via your individual profile webpage
  • Fundraise to reach or surpass your expedition fee target

Expedition fee:

  • GBP £7,500
  • Includes: Comprehensive pre-expedition training, international flights out to Africa, all project related travel, accommodation, daily meals and teamwear
  • Excludes: Travel insurance, visas, travel medication, start/end personal travel arrangements

  • Fully integrated member of the team; just carrying out a selected leg of the project
  • Choose your preferred section and the countries in which you hope to volunteer
  • Expedition durations available from 1 to 3 months, and can be tailored to suit

Expedition fee (based on the timescales given, below):

  • 1 month: GBP £1,750
  • 2 months: GBP £3,375
  • 3 months: GBP £4,875
  • Includes: Pre-expedition/in-country training, all project related travel in Africa, accommodation, daily meals and teamwear
  • Excludes: Flights, travel insurance, visas, travel medication
