Bio
Richard was born and brought up in South Africa. In 1996 he and his family moved to the UK where he continued his education: Wellington School [Somerset] and Loughborough University. In 2007 Richard qualified as a teacher, having completed his PGCE at the University of Exeter. He taught at Dean Close School in Cheltenham for 3 years; an RFU level 2 coach, he worked at U14 and U15 level. As Bhubesi Pride’s Project Coordinator, Richard’s focus is on using rugby and sport as the platform to inspire and generate long-term development in African schools and communities.
